St David's NEWPORT HALF MARATHON

 

Make a commitment to get fit by signing up for the Newport half marathon.

If you fancy running this years half marathon, then this is a great place to start.

 

Runs will Range 7.5km & 17.5km

 

Are you fit enough?

As of the end of Jan 2015 we are on our 5 week countdown to the Newport Malf Marathon. Obviously so close to the evnt we ask you are able to run 10km (non stop) or 7.5kmkm in 50mins to ensure you will be able to keep up. Most of our members started in Oct running 5km for the first time. Were not asking you to be a great runner, but we are asking that you have already put in the training you will need to get to the start line.

Days/Times:  Tue 8:00pm Sun 8am    

Location: Newport Rivert Front

Meet: Fitness4less car park 

 

Route: The route will depend upon group size and ability, but the riverfront provides a flat route, that is quiet, well lit, paved with absolutely no roads to cross. It can cater for runs of many km's but is also perfect for shoter interval based training 

 

The runs will take place around the riverfront using a variety of distances & speeds, including interval training (great if your just starting out)
